Dana Ray Combs
I was born and raised in Northwest Missouri and attended college at the University of Missouri-Columbia where I obtained a bachelor's degree in Persuasive Speech Communications in 1994. Upon graduation, I began my future in public radio at KBIA-FM in Columbia.
After moving to Kansas City in 1996, I promptly sought a position as an underwriting executive at KCUR. Public radio is such a part of me, and working for a non-profit is very compatible with my personality.
I enjoy most spending time with my husband Jamey, my daughter Taylor and my son Gage and hope that they may both work in public radio some day! They’ve spent so much time at the station their entire lives. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering during the membership drives, working with teen youth projects, writing, renovating old homes, hosting tea parties, and traveling.
