Jay Nixon <a href="http://news.stlpublicradio.org/post/gov-nixon-halts-execution-using-controversial-drug-why-change-plans" target="_blank">instructed the Missouri Department of Corrections</a> to come up with a new procedure for carrying out lethal injections.</p><p>On Tuesday, the department announced that it had chosen a new execution drug: pentobarbitol.
