From War To Peace: Soldiers And PTSD
Not all war wounds are as obvious as a missing limb, as we’ve learned from scores of veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.
On Tuesday's Up to Date, we talk with journalist David Finkel about what he’s seen while embedded with troops of the 2-16 Infantry Battalion in Iraq, and what he observed when they came home to Ft. Riley. We’ll discuss how these soldiers’ experiences reveal the larger problems troops are having readjusting to live outside of war zones and how they’re trying to cope.
