Linda Lighton's "Luminous" at Greenlease Gallery
The word luminous can be defined as emitting light or full of light, enlightened or intelligent. For ceramic artist Linda Lighton, it's a light from within.

Kansas City, MO – Linda Lighton's latest exhibition called "Luminous" explores the concept with lighted porcelain chandeliers suspended from the 16-foot ceiling of the Greenlease Gallery. The forms resemble creamy-colored upside down flower blossoms against a midnight blue backdrop, as music plays in the gallery by UMKC Conservatory composer Paul Rudy. We'll hear from artist Linda Lighton as part of an occasional KCUR series called Artists in their Own Words.
